Does money really grow on trees?
- Pay Tithing FIRST
- Have a realistic budget
- Include the family in your budgeting plans- Tell each other what the purchasing plans are
- Work together and share the plans with the family so no one is resentful
- Plan ahead for expenses
- Spend less than you earn
- Save some money each month, even if it is just a little
- Keep track of your spending- Have a box for your receipts
- Keep the money in perspective. It is just money. Relationships are what is really important.
- Stay free from debt
- Honor your financial obligations. Pay your debts.
- Become a knowledgeable consumer. Look for ways to buy things for less... thrift stores, consignment shops
- Start small and work you way up. Don't expect the best right from the beginning. Start with what you can afford.

Those are all really great things to learn so that we can be free from debt and have more savings.
Maybe we need an evening class on this subject sometime next year...?
